Theodore Baldino Obituary

Theodore D. Baldino, age 87, of Chicago (Hegewisch) passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Franciscan Hospital in Hammond.  Beloved father, uncle, and family man who was deeply loved and cherished by so many. Theodore was born on October 30, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Joseph Baldino and Carmela (Montalto) Baldino. Ted was an avid Black Hawks and Cubs fan his entire life, loved talking sports, and he happily watched the Cubs finally win the World Series!  His passions included golfing, taking an annual fishing trip with his cousins (also known as his “dates”), and cooking (the hotter the better!). Ted had a great sense of humor and always showed great love and compassion to those he met. Theodore was U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Company C 38th Armored Infantry Battalion. He was a hard worker, retiring from Cargill in 1981 and then owning and operating Mr. Donut in Schererville, IN for many years after his official retirement from Cargill.

Beloved son of late Joseph and late Carmela Baldino. Loving husband of late Charlotte (Yuratovic) Baldino. Dearest brother of Theresa Contro, late Larry Baldino, and late Eleanor Mancinelli. Loving father to Marc Baldino. Beloved uncle of Gerry Contro, Jill Folta Contro and Joanne Hattemer. Cherished uncle of three great-nieces: Abigail Contro, Sofia Contro, and Angel Hattemer. Loving cousin of Nick Mancinelli. Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch. Services private. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Theodore will be dearly missed by family and friends.
