Tammy DuVerney was a loving Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Grandmother. Lastly, she will be most remembered as a wonderful Mother to her three sons John, Michael, and Christopher.
Our mother loved to dance and sing. She was a jokester, and she kept those around her always smiling and laughing. She was the most loving and caring person you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting. She loved genuinely no matter what. She was the center of our hearts and those who she loved was the center of her heart.
Our Mom did her best to raise us together and she instilled in us that we will always have each other. Our mom selflessly helped others expecting nothing in return; whether it be providing a plate of food or a place to lay their head for the night. That was the kind of woman our mother was and that speaks volumes of her love, compassion, and humility.
Like myself, I think many of us were not expecting her to be gone so soon. I wish she could have had more time to see her grandchildren grow up and bother her like her sons did. We will truly miss you Mom. We will miss the conversations, hearing that laugh and your warm hugs. This goodbye hurts; but it is not so much a Good-Bye as it is an “I’ll see you later.”I find peace knowing you never have to worry anymore and you’re with Tia Tonya. I love you Mommy.
Always your son, Christopher.
