Today we come together to celebrate the life of Shirley Santos. Shirley was the beloved mother of Francisco (Ida) Ortega, Michelle (Steven) de la Paz, Luis (Duwella) Ortega. Shirley was the cherished grandmother to Armando (Maribel), Eric (Teresa), Sophia (Jesse), Thomas (Alicia), Lucy (Ralph), Stephania (Michael), Stacy (Diego), Lupe, Steven (Viviana), Luis, Leticia (Joe), Michael, Nicholas (Jessica), Keith, Rafael, and the treasured great-grandmother to her many great-grandchildren.
Shirley loved to travel from place to place across the United States. She had a profound love of Cats; she really loved her cats, and as a favorite pastime she loved recording her movies . She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Shirley will always be a treasured memory that will be with us forever. We are thankful and blessed to have met such a wonderful woman and for her to be in our lives.
A silent tear
Just close your eyes and you will see
all the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I'm really still there inside your mind
Don't cry for me now I'm gone
For I am in the land of song
there is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear
Don't think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am no longer old
I'm in that place that's filled with love
known to you all as "up above".
