Reyes Rodriguez

Reyes Rodriguez, 57, of Chicago, IL passed away on August 15th, 2023. Reyes, a loving husband and father of three, was a very humble, hardworking, and giving man. Presented himself with such genuity & kind gesture; welcoming to loved ones and strangers alike. He enjoyed spending time with his whole family, especially his grandchildren. When he wasn't working long hours providing a safe & better future for his family, Reyes enjoyed bringing people together. Offering food & drinks to whomever visited his home, accompanied by deep warm conversation. Reyes acquired renovation skills along the years which have helped so many in need of his skillset. Which was his thing of course...no matter how tired from work he was, he never hesistated to assist & lend a helping hand. Never for one second, did this humble man give a second thought to help anyone asking for help. One of his many strong suits. On the topic of strong suits, Reyes was an incredible soul as he endured such an agressive cancer, sarcoma. He fought tooth & nail against the very thing that was taking him away from his family, but he did so with such patience & perseverence. Not once did he give up the fight. Even when informed about his limited time on our beloved planet, he still wanted to fight. For this we remember a great & honorary father/husband/brother/son, Reyes Rodriguez.
He was predeceased by his late father Guadalupe Rodriguez and is survived by his mother Juana Leon, wife Maria Elena Dominguez de Rodriguez, loving children Fernando Rodriguez, Jenny Rodriguez, and Danny Rodriguez. Loving grandfather of Natalia Rodriguez, Julissa Rodriguez, Kaylani A. Galan, and Fernando A. Rodriguez. Cherished brother of Margarito Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, late Guadalupe Rodriguez, and Elvia Rodriguez. Father in law to Alejandra Alvarez. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633.  Celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church of South Chicago. Interment to follow at St. John St. Joseph Cemetery of Hammond, IN. 


Reyes Rodríguez, de 57 años, de Chicago, IL, falleció el 15 de agosto de 2023 de cáncer. Reyes, un esposo amoroso y padre de 3 hijos, era un hombre muy humilde, trabajador y generoso. Se presentó con tanta ingenuidad y jesto amable; dando la bienvenida a los seres queridos y a los extraños por igual. 

Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con toda su familia, especialmente con sus nietos. Cuando no estaba trabajando largas horas brindando un futuro seguro y mejor para su familia, Reyes disfrutaba uniendo a las personas. Ofreciendo alimentos y bebidas a quien visitó su hogar, acompañado de una conversación cálida y profunda. Reyes adquirió habilidades de renovación a lo largo de los años que han ayudado a tantos que necesitaban su conjunto de habilidades. Lo cual era lo suyo, por supuesto... no importaba lo cansado que estuviera del trabajo, nunca dudó en ayudar y echar una mano. Ni por un segundo, este humilde hombre pensó dos veces en ayudar a alguien que pidiera ayuda. Uno de sus muchos puntos fuertes.

Sobre el tema, Reyes fue una alma increíble ya que soportó un cáncer tan agresivo, el sarcoma. Luchó con uñas y dientes contra lo que lo estaba alejando de su familia, pero lo hizo con mucha paciencia, esperanza y perseverancia. Ni una sola vez abandonó la lucha. Incluso cuando se le informó sobre su tiempo limitado en nuestro amado planeta, todavía quería pelear. Por esto recordamos a un gran y honorario padre/esposo/hermano/hijo, Reyes Rodríguez. 

Murió antes que su (fallecido) padre Guadalupe Rodríguez y lo dejó atrás Juana León (Madre) María Elena Domínguez de Rodríguez (esposa) Fernando Rodriguez (Hijo) jenny rodriguez (Hija) Danny Rodríguez (Hijo) natalia rodriguez (Nieta) julia rodriguez (Nieta) Kaylani A. Galán (Nieta) Fernando A. Rodríguez (Nieto) margarito rodriguez (Hermano) Juan Rodríguez (Hermano) guadalupe rodriguez (hermano (tarde)) Elvia Rodríguez (Hermana) Alejandra Álvarez (Nuera) 

Para honrar la memoria de Reyes, celebraremos su vida el 20 y 21 de agosto en la funeraria Sadowski en 13300 S Houston ave en Hegewisch. El horario del domingo es de 3:00pm -8pm. Horario de lunes de 9 am a 12 pm seguido de entierro posterior. Invitamos a todos los que lo conocieron a asistir y recordar su maravillosa vida.
