Peter Conrad

Completing his last lap around the Danbury Race arena track, #31 Peter M. Conrad, has grabbed the checkered flag for the final time, passing away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 75. Born in Connecticut, he has called Illinois home for over the past 3 decades. Peter’s passion for cars made him both an avid race fan and a classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending his time with family and tinkering in the garage on his 1960 Chevy Corvette.

An only child, he is survived by his wife Debra, children Peter (Lucy) Conrad, Paul (Lorraine) Conrad, Tammy (Jeff) Turner, Candus (Blair) Dell, and Shawn (Nicole) Thompson; Grandchildren Dylan, Christopher, Jeffrey, Amber (Andrew), AJ, Valerie, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Colton and Alayna; And Great-Grandchildren James, Wesley and Emberly.

Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633.  A Memorial Visitation for Peter will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Florian Church of Hegewisch: 13145 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Funeral Mass to commence at 10:00 AM. 

Peter will be dearly missed by family and friends.
