Micheal “Mike” Ortiz, 40, of South Chicago was born on October 27th to Bertha Cortez and Macario Ortiz Jr. (deceased) and passed away on October 31st 2023.
Michael filled the room with his big energy. His laughter will be remembered by many. He enjoyed watching sports and listening to music. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. As much as he loved sports he was very athletic. He loved the outdoors, he was fearless and an adrenaline seeker. He was ambitious and was always seeking new adventures. He appreciated spending time with his family and friends. And through this charming personality he was very protective of his family. His overall happiness in life was being a father.
Micheal leaves behind his two greatest joys, his daughters, Lola Countess and Lana Isabel. He is survived by his sisters, Veronica (Alejandro) and Jasmine (Travis). His brothers, Macario III, Jesus (Myra), Eduardo, Aaron and Carlos. And his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
