In loving memory of Jose Guadalupe Saenz age 85 of South Chicago. Born in San José de Otates Guanajuato, Mexico he migrated to the United States at the young age of 17 in search of a better life. Jose will forever be remembered as a loving individual with the heart of a lion. Jose always treated everyone he met with love and respect. Jose’s ideal day would include working in his garden while listening to music and ending the day with a delicious dinner surrounded by his loved ones. Those closest to Jose will know that he loved to dream, and he taught us all to dream big. Jose had a true appreciation for the arts and loved to spend quality time with his friends and family. Jose dedicated his life to building a legacy that would serve his family in Mexico and children and wife in the United States. Jose worked in the South Chicago steel mill industry for many years before retiring. Jose married his beloved wife Ana Maria in 1983 and settled in the South Chicago neighborhood where he would raise his children.
Beloved son of late Lorenza Aranda and Late Tomas Saenz. Loving husband of Ana Maria Saenz. Cherished father of Tomas “Tommy” Saenz, Eric Saenz, and Michelle Saenz. Loving brother to his siblings and friend to all. Jose Guadalupe Saenz will be deeply missed by his friends and family. His legacy will forever tell the tale of a man who taught us how to be a better person. We will miss your smile, laughter, voice, and kind words. We Love you Joe, see you soon Dad.
