Consuelo Ramos was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Consuelo was born in Mexico but was brought up in Chicago. She met her husband Jose Ramos while working together at a ranch. They fell in love and decided to spend the rest of their lives together through marriage. When Jose asked for Consuelo’s hand in marriage, her mother’s response was “are you sure you want to marry my daughter”? He was of course sure that he wanted to marry Consuelo. They got married and had two children together. Consuelo was very dedicated to her family and faith. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family. Consuelo loved to travel and was not afraid to travel alone. She traveled to Mexico and Puerto Rico every year. She also loved to cook. Her Puerto Rican Rice was the best! She always made sure that she looked her best. Most would describe her style as elegant. She was employed at Jays Potato Chips for over 25 years where she developed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. Consuelo had a great work ethic and was always working hard. Even while she was battling with Kidney failure she still showed up to work and did not let her battle slow her down.
Consuelo Ramos is survived by her husband Jose G. Ramos. Children, Jose Ramos, and Maricela Andrade (Ascencion Andrade). Grandmother of 7, Andrea, Isabelle, Delilah, Lilly, Suzy, Carlos and Sergio. Great Grandmother of Paul, Julian, Ariana, Abagail and Matilda. Sister of Chole and Maria. Late parents’ Augustin and Ascencion (Chona) Ramos. Late siblings, Danielle, Pedro, Javier and Juanita.
She was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend of many. May she rest in peace and live through us all.
