Amelia Hyzy

Amelia "Millie" Hyzy (nee Pavichevich) age 86 passed away on March 17, 2021. Millie retired from the University of Chicago Press after many years. She was an avid Bocce ball player throughout her life and played in many leagues for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing and made many lifelong friends throughout the years. Millie belonged to the Saint Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church where she was a member of the church Kolo. She was a loving woman, and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Loving wife of the late Butch; Mother of Debbie and Karen; Baba of Jamie, Marcy, and Kristen; Great Baba of RJ. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents: Late Philip and late Milusa Pavichevich. Sister of Anie (Dave) Grankowski; Sister-in-Law of Sue (late Skezee, late Glen). Amelia is preceded in death by many brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Loving aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, and cousins of many.

Funeral arrangements for Amelia entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633. Visitation will be on Friday, March 26th, 2021 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 6 PM. Interment Private.

Amelia will be dearly missed by family and friends.
