Steven Michael Vasquez, a cherished father, beloved friend, devoted brother, loving son, and steadfast believer in God, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024 at the age of 45. His life was defined by his unwavering love, kindness, and selfless dedication to his family and friends, guided by his deep faith.

Born on June 29, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois to Debra Vasquez and Jerry Cruz.

Steven's loyalty and generosity extended beyond his immediate family. He cherished his friendships deeply, known for his willingness to go above and beyond for those he loved. His presence brought joy and comfort to his friends, who remember him fondly for his humor, warmth, and unwavering support.

He was also a man of faith, finding strength and guidance in his beliefs, which shaped his compassionate spirit and kind-hearted nature. His faith in God was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with comfort and direction in all endeavors.

Steven Vasquez leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be forever cherished by his children, Mellony Vasquez, Quentin Vasquez, and Melina Vasquez; his brothers Jason Vasquez and Eric Vasquez; his mother Debra Vasquez; his best friend and mother of his children Melissa Vasquez and a wide circle of extended family and friends who adored him.

Funeral Arrangements for Steven M. Vasquez entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Visitation for Steven will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 7:00 PM. Interment Private.
