Salvador
Valle
February 8, 1952 – May 25, 2024
Salvador Valle was born in Laredo, Texas on February 8th, 1952, to Nelly Flores and Salvador Valle, Sr.
At just 4 years old, on Valentine's Day of 1956, he and his family moved to Chicago. As a child, he joined the Cub Scouts, beginning his love for public service.
At 17 years old, he was moved by the war in Vietnam and courageously joined the US Army where he would serve for 4 years.
Soon after, Salvador met his beautiful wife Rosa, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years.
Salvador is survived by his children (June and David Kinney (son-in-law), Salvador Valle, Jr., Trina Valle, Sonia Valle and Paula Valle), grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings Minerva Jaquez, Dora Temores, Gil Flores, Yvonne Valle and Yvette Valle and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Salvador is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, grandson, & sister.
During his life, Salvador had many civil careers where his passion for community service helped him find fulfillment. His favorite position was working for the city of Chicago Streets and Sanitation Department from which he eventually retired.
He enjoyed quality time with his family, riding his motorcycle down Lake Shore Drive, and watching Wrestling on Monday nights.
Salvador, while stern and tenacious, was also loving, warm-hearted, very generous, and fair. He was a great man, the rock of the family, an exceptional leader, and was a father figure to many people other than his children.
