Robert L. Adamczyk Sr. age 58 of Hegewisch formerly of South Chicago passed away on December 30, 2016. Robert was a maintenance mechanic with 39 years of service, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, Sudoku, Bejeweled, drinking beer with friends at Georgies and also feeding birds and squirrels. Beloved son of late Edward and Florence (nee Szymanski) Adamczyk, loving husband of late Judy (nee Kurnat) Adamczyk, cherished father of Robert Jr. (Maida) Adamczyk and Steven Adamczyk, dearest grandfather of Jessica and Stephanie, loving brother of late Edward (Gerry), Hank (Diane) and Jim (Nadine), dearest brother-in-law of Nancy (Joseph) Scuch and Sandra (Vern) Nevill, loyal friend of Les Wielkopolan. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9 AM until 12 PM at the Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633 (773-646-1666). Prayer service to commence at 11:30 AM. Funeral procession at 12 PM from chapel to Holy Cross Cemetery for Inurnment. Robert will be dearly missed by family and friends.
