Rick Torres (59) passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Rick battled numerous medical issues, but despite the pain, he showed strength and courage by continuing to love and support those around him until the very end.

Rick is survived by his mother, Margaret "Marge" Gomez, and father, Raul "Roy" Torres. He was the dear brother of Raul (Rosemary) Torres, Mark Torres, Paul (Patti) Torres, Scott Torres, Ralph Cortes III, Joel (Roxy) Cortes, and Dyan (Alvin) Torres. Growing up he went out of his way to support his siblings even if that meant dressing as an adult to go on beer runs. He was a father figure, Godfather, and caring uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was a huge fan of music and enjoyed attending as many concerts as he could. He brought that love of music to his family and shaped the soundtrack of life for all he met. Rick will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be at Sadowski Funeral home 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633 on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
