In loving memory of Refugio "Cuco" Cortez, a dedicated and humble man who found joy in his work passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 4, 1948, in Huitzila, Zacatecas Mexico to parents Ramon Cortez (deceased) and Maria de la Luz Ramirez (deceased). Refugio, a man of integrity, was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His honesty and commitment to his work defined his character.
Refugio was the oldest of thirteen children consisting of Mercedes, late Alfonso, Vicente, Filemon, Eva, late Salvador, Ramon, Irma, Victor, Elvia, Armando, and Norma.
Refugio shared 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife Teresa. As a dedicated father he leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance for his children, Veronica, Joel, and Ruben. His impact on their lives and the lives of those around him will be remembered with gratitude and affection. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Samantha, Madeline, Julie and Emily.
In addition to his qualities as a compassionate individual and devoted father, Refugio was a successful entrepreneur for 30 years. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his work contributed to his achievements. His impact extends through generations, leaving a lasting imprint on both family and business.
His unwavering commitment to his profession, marriage, family, and friends leaves a lasting legacy of hard work, love and humility. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
