It is with saddened and aching hearts that we announce the passing of Raul M. Garcia, age 42, of Slag Valley on December 9, 2025. Beloved son of Ruben and Bonny (Barbara) Garcia. Proud father of Raulie and grandfather of Angel (1 year old). Faithful and loving brother to the late David Garcia, Rich (Virg) Garcia, and Michael (Vanessa) Garcia. Caring uncle to Richie (Destinee), Yesenia, and Annabell, who always cherished their uncle's energetic presence.

Raul enjoyed competing in sports during his younger years, playing football in middle school for the Sacred Heart Crusaders, and later for the Minutemen at Washington High School. He worked as a forklift driver, a position in which he took great pride. One of his greatest sources of pride was his son's service in the United States Marine Corps. Raul will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He moved through life with an untamed heart.

He missed his big brother Dave every day, and he will now be reunited with him and all our dearly departed loved ones.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633, (773) 646-1666. Public Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 7:00 PM. Interment Private.
