Olivia Tamez, age 41, gained her angel wings on March 29, 2022, following a 2-year fight with throat cancer. Olivia was diagnosed in 2020, during the beginning of the pandemic. Throughout her battle she remained strong and resilient and did everything that could be done. We are heartbroken but we know she is at peace without being in pain. She was the beloved daughter of Santiago Tamez and Mary Fuentes. She was the most caring and energetic mother to her six kids Raul, Aryana, Tanya, Alex, Anthony, Maria. And loving wife to her husband of 28 years Anthony Castellano.

Olivia was always the life of the party in any room she was in. She spread her love and laughter through music and her words with jokes. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She will be missed and remembered by her many relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Visitation for Olivia will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 7:00 PM. Interment Private.
