Mercedes M. Gomez age 89, of South Chicago passed away peacefully on November 18. 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Mercedes was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. Beloved daughter of late Jose and Maria Miramontes. Beloved wife of late Francisco M. Gomez. Loving mother of Estela Cruz, Eduardo Contreras, Sally Barth, Esther Gomez. Cherished Grandmother of 18, dearest Great-Grandmother of 32 and loving Great-Great-Grandmother of 3. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 9 AM until 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church of South Chicago, Funeral Mass to commence at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Mercedes will be dearly missed by family and friends.
