With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maria Munoz de la Rosa.

Born on August 10th, 1964 in San Julian, Jalisco MX, Maria was the cherished daughter of the late Daniel and Teresa Munoz. She was a devoted and loving mother to her sons Jose Martinez, JonCarlo Decasas, and Jeremy Corrales. She was also a treasured sister to Guillermo Munoz de la Rosa, Jamie Munoz de la Rosa, and Jose Luis Munoz de la Rosa.

Many of you may remember her warm smile and hardworking spirit from Taco-Mex. But to us, she will always be remembered first and foremost as our strong, independent, and incredibly resilient mommy — a woman who faced life with quiet courage, boundless love, and unwavering determination.

Her spirit will live on in every shared meal, every heartfelt conversation, every act of kindness, and in all the beautiful memories we continue to cherish. Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort knowing the love she gave us will remain with us forever.

Arrangements Entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago IL, 60633. Visitation for Maria Munoz will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 7:00. Interment Private.

Maria Munoz will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her, and may her wonderful memories continue to inspire and touch the lives of everyone who had the privilege of experiencing her kindness and knowing her beautiful soul.
