It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret (Margie) Galvan announce her passing on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at the age of 58. Margie is survived by her children, George, Benita (Luis), Janie (Jose), Emilio and Theodore Jr. and 16 grandchildren, Jade, Vivian, Vanessa, George Jr., Analise, Sierra, Arianna, Aneysia, Mia, Paige, Jose Jr., Jadiel, Keshlyann, Yandel, Imer and Edian and 3 great-grandchildren, Layla, Piper and Leon. Margie is also survived by her siblings, Evelyn Townsend and William Townsend and sisters-for-life Virgina Monzon and Rosa Herrera. Margie was preceded in death by her parents Marie and Leroy Townsend, Victor P. Novakovich and sister Catherine Banuelos.

Margie will truly be missed by all who knew her. She will be forever remembered by her friends and family including numerous nieces, nephews and extended relations. Margie touched a lot of lives and kept her door open to those who needed it. In her final years, she devoted her life to the church and was a proud member of The First Baptist Church of Hammond.

A service in memory of Margie will be held on Monday, September 7th, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm at Sadowski Funeral Home, 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL. 60633 (773-646-1666). Private funeral services for immediate family only. Those who desire may send flowers in memory of Margie directly to the funeral home.
