Lester L. Hill age 86 of Hegewisch, IL passed away Thursday January 7th, 2021. Lester was born July 22 ^nd , 1943 to Mitchell and Irene Hill. Lester served in the Army from 1951 to 1955 and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150. Lester was a member of American Legion Post 388, and a life member of Amvets Post 43, most recently serving as Provost Officer. Lester loved boating, golf, Nascar, and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears. Lester was known as a caring and genuine man, who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is survived by his Wife Sandra Hill (nee Benotto) after 63 loving years. Loving father of 5 children: late Linda (Ron) Stech, Edward (late Karen) Hill, Angela (Michael) Steele, late Richard (Debbie) Hill, and Jamie Robbins. Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Fond friend of many. Lester will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
