Jose L. Veloz III, age 52, late of Crown Point, Indiana, formerly of South Chicago, Illinois, passed away on April 27, 2020.  Joey, as his family affectionately referred to him, worked for the State of Illinois as a food service coordinator.  Joey was an avid gamer, had an eclectic taste in music, and loved to engage in computer applications and games.  Joey was the devoted son of late Irene Veloz and late Jose L. Veloz.  He is survived by his beloved fiancé Rose Gasik.  Loving father of Joseph Ricketts, Jessie Veloz, and Lucas Veloz.  Dear brother of Rudy Rodriguez, Arthur Veloz, Renee Ortega, Ruben Veloz (Margaret), Marylou Veloz, Elizabeth Veloz, Rossanne Veloz, Genoveva Veloz, Jose Luis Veloz.  Dear uncle to Joanna Rodriguez, Annie Rodriguez, Jose D. Orozco Jr., Ruben Veloz Jr., Mary Veloz, Michael Veloz, Melissa Veloz, Louis Veloz, Mylia Veloz, Raymond Veloz, Rossanne Leon, Leticia Tirado, Andrew Javier, Alyssa Javier, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation and funeral services were privately held for the immediate family.
