IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jose Rodriguez
Miranda
June 24, 1964 – February 3, 2026
Jose Luis Rodriguez Miranda, 61 of Crest Hill, Illinois, passed away February 3, 2026 leaving a void that can never be filled.
Jose was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico to Maria del Carmen Miranda and Manuel Othon Rodriguez on June 24, 1964. He grew up in Mexico City with his three brothers Antonio, Angelini and Pablo and his 6 sisters Estela, Maria del Carmen, Martha, Gloria, Antonia and Leticia.
Jose lived a life marked by compassion, strength and deep devotion to his family. He was known for his work ethic, kindness and commitment to others. Jose was a proud and loving husband to Guadalupe Rodriguez and father to two Children Luis Rodriguez (Anabertha Gonzalez) and Yasmin Rodriguez (Osman Amezquita). He was also a cherished grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren Fatima Rodriguez , Akira Rodriguez and Genesis Rodriguez whom he lived his life for whom will forever carry the warmth of their grandfather in their hearts. Jose touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His selflessness, warmth and generous spirit will be remembered forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love strength and compassion that lives on in all of us.
Jose's story is one of hard work and perseverance. he started as a young man in Mexico, working with his uncles in the paint business and later at the optical shop. We remember his courage in coming to the United States where he worked tirelessly at Cronnos, RC Cola, Coca-Cola, Cold Storage, and finally, at Lineage Logistics. Every drop of sweat in those factories was an act of love to ensure his family never lacked anything. Beyond his tireless work, we will remember him as that loving son, brother, father and grandfather who guided his family along the right path and instilled values that were unmatched. He always made everyone laugh with his entertaining stories and sense of humor that lit up the room whenever he was around. He always looked forward to hosting family parties no matter the occasion. Jose also enjoyed taking his family to yearly trips across the country and to Mexico.
Words feel too small to express the void he leaves behind, yet they grow immense when we use them to thank him for the memories he gave us. We are gathered here to say goodbye to a man who was the pillar to his home. above all, he will be missed by his lifelong partner, his wife Lupita, with whom he shared his journey, dreams and the purest form of love with. Jose's place at the table and in our lives can never be filled, but we find comfort in knowing that he is finally resting after working so hard. His hands can finally be at peace, for the seeds he sowed have borne fruit, and we will continue to walk the path of righteousness that you laid out for us. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the love, joy and kindness that were the essence of Jose's being.
Rest in peace, José Luis Rodríguez Miranda. We will love you forever. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family and all who mourn Jose's departure.
