Florence Rys (nee Koza) age 83 of Hegewisch passed away on November 24, 2021. Florence was a lifelong resident of Hegewisch and enjoyed her many years spent with her family and friends throughout the neighborhood. She was a parishioner of St. Florian Church and a member of Daughters of Isabela. In her spare time, Florence enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and being social with neighbors, and she especially loved to shop at thrift stores. She was a good-hearted woman and was loved by many throughout her long life.

Florence is preceded in death by her mother Lora Bolling, stepfather Joe Bolling, along with one sister and four brothers. Loving wife of Robert Rys, Sr. Loving mother to Susan (Camby) Compton, Robert Jr., and Pamela (Michael) Bendy. Adored grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews, cherished friend of many.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633 (773-646-1666). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 3:00 PM. Interment Private.

Florence will be dearly missed by family and friends.
