Elvira Velez age 85 of Chicago passed away February 4, 2021. Elvira was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and came to the United Sates in 1954. Elvira was a devoted mother and homemaker. Elvira had a kind and loving spirit and believed in the goodness of other people. She had a warm heart and put her trust in god. Elvira would always say "I live by the goodness of god". Elvira would always bless her children and family when it was time to say goodbye. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and enjoyed spending time with her mother, family, and friends. Elvira was a caring woman, and always took the time to help those in need.

Beloved daughter of late Ernesto and Angela Velez. Loving wife of late Juan Figueroa and Angelo Perez. Loving mother of Juan, Louis, late Lydia, Lillian, Vivian, Angelica, Orlando, Jose, and Jose Louis. Cherished grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dearest friend to many.

Funeral Services will be held for Elvira on Monday, February 8 ^th , 2021 from 8:30 AM until 12 PM. Prayer Service to commence at 12 PM for Funeral Procession to Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, Niles, IL.

Elvira will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
