Edward L. Jankowski, 86, of Hegewisch (Chicago), Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Known as "Umpa" to his loved ones, he had a passion for fishing, traveling to northern Wisconsin yearly on the hunt for catching "the big one" …whether it be fish or fishing story. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marie; and his sons Eddie and Johnny. He is survived by his daughters; Debra Thompson (Peter) and Linda Kutz. Siblings Marilyn Wisniewski and Clemmy Jankowski. Grandchildren Tammy (Jeff) Turner, Candus (Blair) Dell, Shawn (Nicole) Thompson, Edward (Samantha Jo) Jankowski, Sydney Kutz, and Zachary Kutz. Great-Grandchildren Jeffrey, Amber, AJ, Valerie, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Colton, Addison, Alayna, and Karlee; And Great-Great Grandchildren James, Wesley and Emberly.

A Memorial Visitation for Edward will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Florian Church of Hegewisch: 13145 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Memorial Mass to commence at 10:00 AM. Interment Private.
