Edward J. Dolan Jr. age 90 of Hegewisch passed away at home on August 7, 2017. Edward was a devoted husband, father, Cubs fan, animal lover and enjoyed the North Woods. Edward was a retired steel worker from Wisconsin Steel after 29 years of service. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Hornet CV-12 during WWII. Beloved son of late Edward and Evelyn Dolan, loving husband of late Eleanor Dolan (nee Hakinson ), cherished father of Maureen (Wayne) Wlodarczyk, late Edwardeen Dolan and Daphne Dolan. Loving brother of late Robert Dolan, late Dolores (Joseph) Hart, late James Dolan and Richard (Edy) Dolan, loving companion of late Joyce Wooster, dearest uncle to many nieces and nephews, fond friend of many. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 3 PM until 8 PM at the Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633 (773-646-1666). Funeral service will be on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 9 AM until 10 AM. Prayer service to commence at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Edward will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
