Edward A. Boersma age 50 of East Chicago, IN formerly of Hegewisch, passed away on February 21, 2019. Edward was employed by Metra as a Trackman for 15 years. He enjoyed watching wrestling in his free time and was also fond of the games Solitaire and Yahtzee. Edward enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Beloved son of late Dennis and Patricia Boersma, loving husband of Patricia Boersma, beloved husband of late Leslie Boersma, loving father of late Ashlynn Boersma, cherished brother of Pam, Andrew, Shawn, Tammy, and Emily. Loving Step-father of Patricia, Angela, Jesus, and Sarah. Beloved step-grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Dearest brother-in-law to many, cherished uncle and great-uncle to many, and fond friend to many. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2 PM until 8 PM at Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch, 13300 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633 (773-646-1666). Prayer service to commence at 7 PM. Interment Private.
