Donald Ivy Jr. was born to Quince and Donald Ivy Sr. On November 3, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. Donald Jr, better known as Donnie, was the eldest of seven children: Sisters Teyonda, Jennifer, Ebonie, Erica, Mari, and Demetrius.

Donnie graduated from Simeon Career Academy in June of 1994. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in August of 1994 where he proudly served his country. Donnie later attended Coyne College where he earned his AAS in Electrical Planning and Construction. Donnie ended his career life as a truck driver.

Donnie Married Judith and together raised their three children, Nicholas, Niyah, and Jalen. Donnie felt blessed to become "PaPa" to his two granddaughters and Father-in-law to Briana. His granddaughters Anastasia and Abigial became the loves of his life.

Donnie was preceded in death by his grandparents Rev Joseph and Nola B. Ivy. Donnie leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The loss of Donnie will be deeply felt by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
